Data Deletion Request
At Radio Excellence Awards Zambia, we respect your right to control your personal data. If you would like to request the deletion of your personal information from our systems, you can do so using any of the methods below.
What Data We Store
When you use our services (website, WhatsApp bot, or Messenger bot), we may store:
- •Your name (as provided when voting)
- •Your phone number
- •Your voting selections and payment records
- •Your WhatsApp number or Facebook Messenger user ID (if you used our chat bots)
- •Your IP address (for web voting)
How to Request Data Deletion
You can request deletion of your personal data by:
1. Email Request
Send an email to info@radioexcellenceawards.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request" and include:
- •Your full name
- •The phone number associated with your account
- •The platform you used (website, WhatsApp, or Messenger)
2. WhatsApp
If you used our WhatsApp bot, send the message "DELETE MY DATA" to our WhatsApp number, and our team will process your request.
3. Facebook Messenger
If you used our Messenger bot, send the message "DELETE MY DATA" to our Facebook page, and our team will process your request.
What Happens After Deletion
- •Your personal information (name, phone number, chat IDs) will be permanently removed from our systems
- •Anonymised voting records may be retained for statistical and audit purposes, but they will no longer be linked to your identity
- •Payment transaction records may be retained as required by financial regulations
- •Any active chat sessions will be cleared immediately
Processing Time
We will process your data deletion request within 30 days of receiving it. You will receive a confirmation once your data has been deleted.
